Aknichthol Dexa (Dexamethasone Acetate) and its derivatives, Aknichthol Dexa (Dexamethasone Acetate) sodium phosphate and Aknichthol Dexa (Dexamethasone Acetate) acetate, are synthetic glucocorticoids. Used for its antiinflammatory or immunosuppressive properties and ability to penetrate the CNS, Aknichthol Dexa (Dexamethasone Acetate) is used alone to manage cerebral edema and with tobramycin to treat corticosteroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions.
Aknichthol Dexa is pharmaceytical active ingredient for topical use. Inhibits the secretion of the sebaceous and sweat glands. At low concentrations it has keratoplastic and in high doses keratolytic effect. Aknichthol Dexa (Salicylic Acid) has a weak antimicrobial activity.
