Pharmacological action

Actiser belongs to the groups of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. These selective serotonin reuptake drugs influence chemical imbalance in the brain responsible for depression, panic anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and others.

Why is Actiser prescribed?

Actiser is indicated for the treatment of:

    Dosage and administration

    For the oral concentrate of this medicine, it must be diluted before taking a dose. A dropper must adequately measure the amount of liquid to be diluted on the oral concentrate.

    Each dose of Actiser should be taken at around the same time each day.

    This drug can be taken with or without food.

    Actiser is usually taken once a day and at the same time of each day. For the complete and exact dosage, refer to your doctor as other factors may also be considered such as body weight, age and the degree of illness.

    When a dose of Actiser is missed, it is advisable to skip that dose and proceed to the next one. However, if the next dosage is many hours away, you could take the missed dose. It is not advisable to take the missed dose of this medication if you are near the time for the next dose, it is best if you entirely skip that dose and wait for the schedule of the next one.

    Actiser oral concentrate is contraindicated with ANT ABUSE (disulfiram) due to the alcohol content of the concentrate.

    Using during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Taking Actiser, especially during the last trimester of pregnancy, may cause birth defects and other medical complications for the mother.     Actiser in case of emergency / overdose

    When symptoms of overdose are suspected, seek medical attention immediately. The symptoms of overdose may be characterized by: nausea; vomiting; tremors; seizures; extreme drowsy feeling; hyperactivity; enlarged and dilated pupils.
