Selerin is an almost near-to-white crystalline powder that is round, convex, scored, and uncoated tablet. Selerin is freely soluble in water. Selerin is used to treat Parkinson's disease, a disease associated with low levels of dopamine in your brain. The question how really Selerin works is not known but it is believed to prevent the breakdown of dopamine in your brain. After levedopa or carbidopa therapy begins to deteriorate, Selerin is usually added to a treatment regimen.
Selerin is mainly used to handle the stiffness, tremors, spasms, and poor muscle control of Parkinson's disease. It can be used as monotherapy in the early phases of the disease and as adjunctive therapy with levodopa. Selerin is also used to handle some muscular conditions that are caused by certain drugs such as Chlorpromazine, Fluphenazine (Prolixin), Perphenazine (Trilafon), and other more. Overdose of Selerin may be characterized with: excitement; irritability; nervousness; insomnia; dizziness; severe headache; hallucinations; weakness; sweating; seizures; drowsiness; fainting; hypotension; hypertension; hyperactivity; agitation; vascular collapse; rapid and irregular pulse; precordial pain; respiratory depression and failure; hyperpyrexia.
Depending on the reaction of the Selerin after taken, if you are feeling dizziness, drowsiness or any weakness as a reaction on your body, Then consider Selerin not safe to drive or operate heavy machine after consumption. Meaning that, do not drive or operate heavy duty machines after taking the capsule if the capsule has a strange reaction on your body like dizziness, drowsiness. As prescribed by a pharmacist, it is dangerous to take alcohol while taking medicines as it exposed patients to drowsiness and health risk.
